Fraud Name: GeoTrust managed purchase protection account
Description: An online purchaser gets an e-mail claiming to be from GeoTrust Europe requesting that the online purchaser buyer make payment into a particular bank account.
In an attempt to add legitimacy to this scam, the email contains a fake GeoTrust logos seal. This e-mail is NOT from GeoTrust and GeoTrust has no involvement in any transaction as alleged by the seller.
Recommended Action: We would advise that you do not use the link contained within this email to update account information. Recipients of this email should contact MBNA directly via their normal means of communication.
